Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.

The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.

26 anglers braved the cold conditions. A hard frost, flat calm conditions and bright sunshine were always going to make catching difficult.
Winner on the day was Dave Schofield (Fishermen's Friend) who opted for a silver fish attack which paid dividends for him. Fishing at 14.5 metres with pole and pellet from peg 56 on the chalet bank, Dave put together a superb bag of skimmers for a total weight of 57-09-00 and a place in the final.
Second placed Rich Aherne drew peg 62 and opted for an 8 metre line on pole and corn landing bream and big carp for a total of 51-01-00.
Third placed Brian Jones (Maver) drew peg 58 and for the third week running, took money away from the event. Shunter drew well and caught bream and carp for a total of 48-07-00 on pellet.
Fourth placed Danny Baker drew peg 74 and caught on pole and pellet for a total weight of 47-07-00, weighing in carp and bream.
