Both the Match and Arena lake were pegged for this latest qualifier with 42 anglers turning out to fish it.
Winner on the day was, again, Brian "Shunter" Jones (Maver) who made it two wins for the weekend back to back. "Shunter" drew well making the most of end peg 10 on the shallow bank of the Match lake. Fishing pellet at 6m, he quickly found F1's and carp and later caught down the edge for a superb 138-09-00.
Second on the day was Andrew "Spud" Murphy (Wales) who is also in fine form at Larford. Drawing peg 33 on the Arena, "Spud" landed a bumper bag of stockie carp for 128-05-00. Fishing at 9m with soft pellet, "Spud" at the last count landed 170 carp to make up his total weight.
Third on the day was Mark Hawthorne (Maver) who drew peg 78 on the Match lake. He was quick to admit he should have won the match with possibly 200lb but lost too many fish down the edge. Nevertheless, Mark caught well on pole and pellet at 6m for a total weight of 114-12-00.
Fourth placed Simon Jones (Somerset Maver) drew peg 42 on the Match lake landing carp to pole and pellet for a total weight of 88-05-00 and a place in the final.
