

Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




Sixty six anglers took part in this last ditch chance of a qualifying place.
Winner on the day was Preston rod Paul Holland who drew peg 24 on the match grass bank. Paul fished shallow with pole and pellet and later switched to the margins with meat to land a superb 145-02-00.
Second on the day was Richie Hull (Garbolino) who drew peg 41 on the Arena to land 131-13-00. Richie caught short on pole and pellet and later caught on meat tight in.
Third placed Mark Bartlett (Avid) drew peg 54 on the match burr. He fished the method feeder for most of the match landing F1's abd carp for a total weight of 130-10-00.
Fourth place Clive Fletcher qualifies for the final with 127-06-00 from peg 8. Clive caught on pole shallow with bonus carp down the side on meat and corn.
