

Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




Twenty-eight anglers turned out for this latest open fished on the chalet bank of the Speci lake. Fish were in spawning mode so bream made up weights as the carp proved difficult.
Winner on the day was Neil McKinnen (Preston) who drew peg 47 below the willow. Fishing pellet waggler and pole, Neil found carp and bream to pellet for a winning catch of 87-13-00.
Second placed Les Thompson (Fox Match) drew peg 54 and fished pellet waggler to find 14 carp for a weight of 81-14-00.
Third on the day was John Main who drew peg 52 and fished a method feeder under the tree to find quality carp and bream for a total weight of 75-07-00.
Fourth placed Andy Neal (Frenzee) drew peg 40 on the top bank to land carp and bream to pole and meat for 67-09-00.
