

Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




Twenty-five anglers turned out for this latest open match on the Speci lake. Weather on the day was horrendous with torrential rain all day making fishing extremely uncomfortable.
Winner on the day was Maver's Andy Kinder who drew peg 19. Andy fished the method feeder at 40 yards with both corn and boilie hookbaits before switching to the margins for the last hour with worm to take carp up to 20lbs. Andy finished with a massive 146-06-00, over 60lbs ahead of the rest of the field.
Second placed Neil McKinnon (Preston) drew peg 23 and fished both the method feeder and short pole with meat to take 85-02-00 of carp and skimmer bream.
Third on the day was Iffers AC rod Andy Prosser on peg 60 with 78-15-00.
Chris Cameron (Mossella) finished in fourth with 61-13-00.
