

Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




Twenty six anglers turned out for this latest summer open. All the burr bank was pegged on the Speci with fish showing everywhere.
Winner on the day was Ray Lamb (Maver Midlands) who drew peg 17 landing 103-14-00 of carp and bream. Ray fished pellet waggler and meat on the pole at just 5m to take quality carp up to 16lbs.
Second on the day was travelling angler Andy Prosser, who travelled from Gloucester. The "Iffers" sponsored angler drew peg 24 and weighed a good bag of carp and bream for 101-15-00. Methods used mirrored those of winner Ray Lamb.
Third placed Brian Clark (Maver Midlands) drew peg 19 and landed 86-15-00 of bream and carp to method, pellet waggler and meat on the pole.
Fourth placed Kevin Dicks (Maver) drew peg 32 and weighed 83-15-00 of carp and bream.
