As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




This latest Saturday open see's a number of travelling anglers tasting for the first time Maver Larford's carp and bream.
Winner on the day was Russ Downing (Derby) who drew peg 82 on the chalet bank landing carp and bream for 121-12-00. Russ used pole and method feeder tactics to secure the win.
Second placed Andy Kinder (Maver) continues to grab the coin. Drawing peg 80, Andy fished the method feeder short landing carp and bream for a total weight of 108-11-00.
Third place was shared between Preston rod Mickey Vials (Barnsley) and Pete Bailey (Colmic / Ultimate) with 103-07-00. Both fished method feeder short and pole down the margins.
