Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.
Twenty anglers turned out for this latest open directly on the bank of the August festival. Many of the field purposely fished to gain practice for the big "Match This" event staged on Saturday August 20th.
Winner on the day was finalist for the runner up "Match This" final, Perry Stone (Yorkshire Baits), who drew peg 32 and landed carp and F1's to lead and pellet for a total weight of 62-11-00.
Second placed Mark Griffiths (Ringer Baits) who drew peg 34 and fished similar tactics to weigh 61-09-00.
Third placed Grant Albutt (Garbolino) must be looking forward to the final weighing 57-14-00 from peg 28.
