

Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.




29 anglers turned out for this latest qualifier and it was Tony Curd (Guru Bait-Tech) from Notting Hill, London who grabbed a place in the May final with 145-15-00 from peg 26 on the shallow bank. Fishing pole and pellet, Tony caught carp and F1's from start to finish at 11 and 13m.
Second on the day was Maver's Andy Kinder who drew peg 64 on the burr landing a mix of F1 carp and a few lumps for a total weight of 101-00-00.
Third placed Scott Doodson (Preston) drew peg 66 on the burr and opted for pole and pellet at 11m and later caught some quality carp down the margins for 99-07-00.
Fourth placed Grant Albutt (Garbolino / Bait-Tech) drew peg 46 catching on both pellet waggler and long pole for a total weight of 98-05-00.
Fifth placed Scott Russell drew peg 28 on the shallow bank landing carp for a total of 90-11-00.
