As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.





Garbolino stretched their lead even further and look certain to qualify for the big "Match This" team championship in September.
Their performance was solid returning 11pts on the day, 2pts clear of second place on the day Maver Midlands (Black), who gained significantly on team MFS.
Winner on the Match lake was Maver Midlands (Gold) team member, Jamie Hughes. Jamie drew peg 8 on the grass bank and fished the long pole with pellet to land quality F1's for 109-04-00 securing his section and lake win.
Second on the Match lake was Maver Midlands (Black) angler Jon Arthur, who drew peg 48 on the Match burr. Jon landed carp and F1's on long pole and pellet for a comfortable section win with 99-06-00.
Third placed Simon Fry (Garbolino) made the most from peg 20 with 93-07-00 of carp and F1's on long pole and pellet, plus straight bomb.
Fourth placed Andy Neal (Bait-Tech) took a fine bag of F1's from peg 22 to long pole and pellet. Andy finished the day with 75-03-00.

The Speci lake fished a lot harder with Martin Leck (Maver Midlands Black) winning his section and the lake with a modest 30-01-00 of bream from peg 72.
Second on the Speci was Darren Cox (Garbolino) with 28-02-00 of bream from peg 70.
Third placed Garry Skerrit (Maver Pickering) landed 27-10-00 from peg 22 on the burr. Garry's weight was made up of bream and roach to long pole and pellet.

So, here is how the Larford Winter League currently stands after three rounds. With all eight teams now being separated by points score, cumulative weights are discounted for round 3.
Team Garbolino have now doubled their lead from 7pts to 16pts over second placed Match Fishing Scene, who are now closely followed by Maver Midlands (Black) after a disappointing 6th placed 20 point score on the day.
At the foot of the table, Maver Tipton and Oakengates AC continue to battle it out with Maver Tipton's 24pt score bettering Oakengates score on the day by just 3pts, which see's Oakengates back at the bottom of the league with 76pts.
