Please Note:
As from January 1st 2009, the use of a catapult for feeding groundbait is no longer allowed on any of the 3 lakes.
Catapults may be used for loose feeding of maggots and casters, pellets, corn, etc.
The use of a big waggler is still allowed but feeding of ground bait must be by hand only.
PVA pellet tea bags are also prohibited.

A fantastic two day competition enjoyed by all. The format of the Maver Classic was to fish both the Match / Arena and Specimen lakes. Each angler having to fish a section on both lakes during the two day final. Over 11,000lbs of fish were recorded on the scales during the two days, making an average of over 55lbs of fish per angler per day.
The Match and Arena lakes produced some incredible weights to both pellet and paste, fished to depth and shallow. Where as the Specimen lake was a little more unpredictable due to early spawning, heavy cross winds and overall angling pressure. It still however, produced some fantastic bream and carp catches, with specimen carp to 18lbs being common.
